This page I am going to use for things I wish to share, general questions, etc., that might not particularly have an official tie to the Smiling Tigers, but things I would like to address. The first thing I am adding here as of January, 2005, is to share a most special gift that my youngest son presented me with for Christmas. My youngest son, 19, Kyle, is serving currently with the Air Force National Guard in Portland, Oregon, after having graduated (with honors, this proud father wants to share) from Securities Forces Tech. School at Lackland Air Force Base. One of my good friends from an organization that I belong to, VHCMA, Robert William Stanley, Sr.., a.k.a. "Weird" does the most beautiful hand carved wood artistry, of which I am the proud owner of several of his plaques, through gifts and fortunate door prize winnings. This last Christmas, Kyle had commissioned this most beautiful carved shadow box from Weird, after having rounded up copies of all the hero ribbons, etc. that I had earned. He then found an old army coat to cut a piece from to use as the back drop for the shadow box, and to affix the ribbons and things on to. Below is a picture of this beautiful gift. I was completely surprised by this effort of Kyle's, and I must say, quite speechless for some time. I was very moved, and I am sure you can see why. Thank you Kyle.
